Al Khor: A long awaited dream of the Indian community in Al Khor has taken shape with the launch of Cardiff Indian School, a new educational institution committed to providing quality, affordable and holistic education in a nurturing and progressive environment.

The school marks an important milestone in the educational journey of the community, with a vision that goes beyond academic achievement. Cardiff Indian School aims to prepare students not only for examinations but also for life, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, confidence and values needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

The school is envisioned to cater to students from kindergarten through Grade 12 and will follow the Indian curriculum. Its modern campus offers a range of facilities designed to support both academic and overall development, including well-equipped classrooms, science laboratories, robotics and computer facilities, astronomy resources, a library, dedicated spaces for art, music and dance, swimming facilities, a multipurpose auditorium and indoor play areas.
However, the school believes that a great educational institution is built by people, not infrastructure alone. Teachers, school leadership, parents and the wider community will play a central role in creating an environment where every child feels supported, valued and encouraged to discover and develop their potential.
As the school moves forward, its focus will be on establishing strong academic systems, providing individualised student support and creating opportunities in co-curricular activities and sports. Innovative learning methods and the responsible use of technology and artificial intelligence will also form an important part of the educational approach.
While technology continues to transform education, the school emphasises that teachers and meaningful human connections will remain at the heart of the learning process.
The institution also views education as both an investment in the future and a social responsibility. Through community and educational initiatives in Qatar and beyond, Cardiff Indian School aims to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of students, families and the wider community.
The school is also committed to progressing the CBSE affiliation process in accordance with the prescribed requirements and procedures, with the guidance and support of the relevant authorities.
Cardiff Indian School forms part of a broader educational vision that also includes Cardiff International School, which follows the British curriculum, as well as the group’s kindergarten education programme.
Across its educational institutions, the central objective remains the same: to place students at the centre of the learning process and help them grow into confident, capable, compassionate and responsible individuals.
The school expressed its sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar, the Embassy of India, parents, teachers, partners, well-wishers and the Al Khor community for their trust, support and encouragement.
Chairman Dr. Hamad Al Kaabi and Principal Dr. Maneesh Mangal attended the press meet.
